Eiger
Eiger is a 3,970 meters (13,020 ft) mountain in Switzerland. It is the eastern tallest peak of a crest ridge that covers through the Mönch to the Jungfrau at 4,158 m. This hill attracts the blizzards like a magnet and generates its own weather. Due to thick fog, snowfall, nasty weather and rock fall it is really hard and dangerous to climb up this peak.
9. Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji is the highest volcano and the most dangerous peak of Japan, which is located in Honshu Island at 3,776m (12,389ft). People of Japan consider it as a cultural heritage and as an important element in Japanese art. Moreover, it is the most popular site for the Japanese and foreign tourists.
Every year more than 200,000 people climb up to the top of Fuji. Fuji. It is a beautiful cone and volcano, which spreads 100 kilometers south- west of Tokyo. Composite cones, formed by violent eruptions, have layers of rock, ash, and lava,which last erupted in 1707-08.
8. Denali Alaska
Mt. McKinley is the highest mountain peak within Alaska range North America. Its height is 6,194 m (20,320 feet) above the sea level, which is actually much higher than Mount Everest. People of Alaska called it ‘Denail’ meaning “THE GREAT ONE” Denali is considered as the largest mountain above the sea level. Due to Denali’s unfavorable weather more than 100 climbers have died attempting the summit. It is world’s 8th deadliest mountain.
7. Mount Washington (New Hampshire)
Mount Washington is the massive peak in the Northeast of United States of America with 6,288 feet (1,917 m) and the most mesmerizing mountain standing in east of the Mississippi River, It was also known as, Agiocochook, or “Home of the Great Spirit” before European settlers arrived. The mountain is positioned in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. The cog railway track is evident, on the spur to the left of the summit. It has riskily dangerous pathway and unpredictable weather, wind blasts and impulsive snowstorms so it is not easy to conquer this mountain as well.
6. Mount Everest
Mount Everest is the heights peak of the World, located in the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas. It is settled on the border of Nepal and Tibet in China, which is measured as the highest mountain with 8848 meters (29,035 ft.) from sea level. It is one of the most challenging peaks for climbers after K2. It is always risky and dangerous for mountaineers because of unfavorable cold temperature and low level of oxygen at Everest.
5. The Matterhorn
The Matterhorn is the tenth highest mountain in Alpine peaks, which is situated on the border of Switzerland and Italy. Matterhorn looks like a pyramid with four triangular faces, the four compass points—north, east, west, south. Its height is 4,478 meters (14,690ft) and even highly experienced climbers cannot climb this because in terms of danger and fatality you cannot predict the conditions.
4. Kanchenjunga
It is the highest mountain of India and second highest of Nepal, which is situated on the borderline of India and Nepal consisting of five peaks. The word Kanchenjunga means “the five treasures of snow” combination of five Tibetan words; Kang (Snow) chen (Big) dzö (Treasury) nga (Five). The five treasures are Gold, Silver, Precious Stones, Grain, and Holy Scriptures. This mountain rises up with 8,586 meters height having cracks and falling rocks. Because of its rough surface, scary animals and vicious storms it is very risky and unsafe to climb up the mountain.
3. K2
K2 is the highest mountain of Pakistan and another deadly mountain on the earth. It is located in the range of Himalaya in the northern areas of Pakistan. It is 28,251 feet in elevation with incredibly abrupt changing weather, worst snow conditions and violent storms. These factors make K2 quite dangerous and challenging to climb. Fatality rate of mountain is 23.2% giving it a nickname “the savage mountain”. And it is said that for every four people who try to climb the K2 one died.
2. Nanga Parbat
Nanga Parbat is the second highest mountain of Pakistan after K2 and the ninth highest peak of the world. It is located in the Himalaya mountain range in the northern areas of Pakistan. Word “Nanga” means “Bare”, “Naked” which is derived from Sanskrit language with 8,126 meters of height. This Mountain is also known as “Killer Mountain” or “Mountain of the Devil”. It is one of the deadliest mountains, which have the longest list of human deaths and tragedies. Death rate of mountain is 5.5%. This wall of ice has fascinated many climbers but it is not that easy to climb it, as an ordinary climber. Think about it, it has steep slopes and glaciers. The mountain has three faces Diamir face, Rupal and Rakhiot.
1. Annapurna
Annapurna is the 10th highest and one of the most dangerous mountains of the world. It is located in the range of Himalayas in north-central Nepal. Its height is 8,091m (26,545 ft.). Its fatality rate is 41%, because threats are unpredictable that even having the greatest expertise of climbing, the climber has to face many hurdles. The word “Annapurna” is derived from Sanskrit language, which means “Goddess of Harvest” simply “The Provider”. Beware while you are climbing up that top.
